As part of de.NBI and ELIXIR-DE, the University of Tübingen coordinates one of the service centers (CIBI - Center for Integrative Bioinformatics) and operates one of the locations of the de.NBI Cloud. The focus of the de.NBI Cloud Tübingen is on providing customized virtual research environments for specific research questions, supporting modern research data management, and training users. Especially in the field of biomedical research with high data protection requirements, researchers benefit from the existing expertise and the ISO27001-certified information security management system of the cloud.
The "Applied Bioinformatics" and "Translational Bioinformatics" groups headed by Oliver Kohlbacher and the "High Performance and Cloud Computing" group headed by Jens Krüger are involved in de.KCD at the EKUT.
